WINDOW TINT
Caring for your new tint.
Most of the work is just being patient for the first couple of days.
01
The first few days
- Keep your windows up for 48 hours. This gives the film time to bond to the glass.
- Don’t clean the inside of the windows for 48 hours.
- Leave the rear defroster off for a few days.
- A little haze or a few small water bubbles are normal. That’s leftover installation water drying out. It usually clears in a few days, but it can take up to about 30 days in humid weather. Please don’t push on the bubbles. They go away on their own.
02
Ongoing care
- Clean with a soft microfiber cloth or soft sponge. Never use a brush, scraper or razor blade.
- Use clean water or a gentle, ammonia-free glass cleaner. Skip regular blue Windex.
- Watch seatbelts, rings, keys and cargo near the windows. Sharp edges can nick the film.
- Don’t put suction cups or stickers on the tinted glass.
Something not look right after 30 days? Give your shop a call and we’ll take a look.
PAINT PROTECTION FILM
Caring for your new PPF.
Treat it gently for the first few days, then wash it like you would your paint.
01
The first few days
- Don’t wash the car for 72 hours after installation.
- Small water spots or a slight haze under the film are normal while it finishes drying.
- Don’t pick at or lift any edges.
02
Ongoing care
- Hand washing is best. If you use a car wash, choose touchless. Brush washes can dull or scratch the film and lift the edges.
- Pressure washers: keep the nozzle at least 12 inches away, and never spray straight at a film edge.
- Use soft wash mitts and microfiber towels. Never use rough scrubbers, abrasive pads or polishing compounds on the film.
- Wipe off fuel spills right away, then wash and dry the area.
- Clean off bird droppings, bugs and tar as soon as you can.
- For tree sap, soak it with warm, soapy water for a few minutes, then rinse and dry.
- Park in a garage or shade when you can. Less heat and sun means a longer-lasting film.
See an edge lifting? Don’t press it down or trim it. Call your shop and we’ll take care of it.
