Timing, re-tinting and your rear defroster.
How long does removal take?
It depends on how many windows have film, how old the film is and how well it comes off. Old, baked-on film and rear windows with defroster lines take more time and care. We’ll give you an idea of timing when you call or book, so you know what to plan for.
Can you remove tint and re-tint the same day?
Often, yes. If you want new tint after removal, tell us when you book so we can plan time for both jobs. Some removals take longer than expected, especially with old or heavily glued film. If that happens, we’ll let you know and work out the best plan with you.
Will removal damage my defroster?
We take extra care with rear windows because the defroster lines sit right under the film. Old or failing film can sometimes pull on those lines no matter how carefully it’s removed, which is why we go over a quick removal waiver with you first and talk through what to expect.
