While DIY window tinting kits are available, professional installation is recommended for the best results. Our highly-trained, professional technicians have the experience and equipment to ensure a seamless and long-lasting application.

What are the different types of window tinting films available?

There are several types of window tint films available, including dyed, metalized, carbon, and ceramic films. Each type offers different benefits, such as heat rejection, UV protection, and durability. Your choice will depend on your preferences and needs. Don’t know which film you’re looking for? Our team is happy to help.

Do you offer different shades of window tinting?

Yes, The Tint Guy offers a selection of VLT percentages. From 5% Dark to 90% Clear, we can meet a wide range of personal preferences and can help walk you through the process. No matter what shade you decide to go with, our high-quality films are designed to enhance your view by allowing visible light into your vehicle while keeping heat out, so you can see clearly through your windows — and maintain your vehicle’s original appearance. Will window tinting make my car windows completely opaque from the outside?

No, window tinting is designed to provide privacy by reducing the visibility into the vehicle from the outside. However, it will not make the windows completely opaque, ensuring that the driver has sufficient visibility for safe driving and meeting Georgia’s window tinting laws.

Will window tinting interfere with my car's electronics, like GPS or radio signals?

Professionally installed window tint from The Tint Guy will not interfere with GPS or radio signals. We only offer high-quality film options that are designed not to obstruct electronic signals.

Can I have tint installed over the factory tinted glass?

Yes you can.  we can install window film directly on the factory tinted glass making it darker. The factory tinted glass is a pigment in the glass giving its color.

Aftermarket window film has many more solar benefits than factory window tint. Factory tint only rejects part of the UV rays, and only rejects a small amount of heat. Aftermarket window film rejects 99% of ultraviolet rays and between 35%-60% of heat, depending on the film level used. In addition to these benefits, darkening factory tinted glass will give you more privacy for storing your personal items in the back of the vehicle.

Can I have my 2 front doors tinted to match the rear factory tinted glass?

Yes. However, having this level of window film on front doors is not legal in Georgia.  Factory tinted glass is usually 15%-22% V.L.T. Georgia window tint law requires that the front doors be no darker than 32% net(Film & Glass ), which is lighter than the rear window of your factory tinted vehicle.

Is there a warranty on your window tinting products?

Yes. At The Tint Guy, we offer a reliable warranty on our films and installation services. The duration and coverage of the warranty may vary depending on the type of film and the brand. For more information on the warranties offered for each film, contact our team

Are you guys mobile or do I have to bring it to your location?

We only install window film on vehicles inside our clean, air-conditioned facility. This way we have complete control over the environment we install window film in. This is how we control the quality of the install.

We do not recommend any kind of mobile service due to the quality of the installs and the inability to get warranty service if needed.

Can I get a quote for my specific vehicle before booking the service?

Yes, our team offers free quotes. Contact us via phone call or form submission. With information such as your vehicle’s make and model, the number of windows you want to be tinted, and film preferences, we can offer an accurate estimate for our service.

How long does it take to tint my vehicle?

Can window film ever be removed?

Yes, Window Film can be removed at any time after the installation. As a tint professional we know all the tips and tricks on proper tint removal. Please call us if you require a removal. It is a very tough and messy job, not recommended for beginners. Read more about the removal process.

What do I use to clean my tinted windows?

We recommend using any glass cleaner that is ammonia-free and soft paper towels or a microfiber cloth.    Always clean your windows in the shades and use a dry cloth for final drying to prevent streaks.

How long do I need to wait before rolling down my windows?

We recommend that you leave your vehicle windows rolled up for at least 24-48 hours after window film has been installed. This allows the film to cure and adhere to the glass before the window is moved.

Why do I see bubbled or purple tint on cars?

Unfortunately, there are companies out there that use low-quality products and are inexperienced in the proper installation of window films. All the window films we offer come with a full lifetime warranty for materials and labor from the manufacturer. We register this warranty for you so you will always be protected.  If a problem ever arises all you need to do is return for warranty service or call the 1-800 # on your warranty card.

Why do I see little bubbles or patchiness soon after installation?

This is very normal. Water is used to activate the adhesive and to allow us to move the film around and position it for a perfect installation. Although we squeegee out as much of the water as possible, some small amount remains between the glass and the film. As this water evaporates through the film you may see some little bubbles or foggy patches. These should go away within a few days or up to two weeks(during the colder months of the year.)   Never poke, prod, or pop these bubbles, they will go away on their own.

How long can I expect my window tint to last?

The lifespan of window tint varies depending on the quality of the film and how well it is maintained. The Tint Guy offers top-quality films that are designed to last longer than many alternative options. Our films can last anywhere from 10 to 15 years or more with proper care.
